Pain and stiffness when using your hands?
Treating your osteoarthritis
While I cannot claim to cure osteoarthritis, I can say I've helped many people with this condition. And it's not just pain and stiffness and range of motion I'm helping with. When it's bad, osteoarthritis negatively affects your social life, plans for adventure and your mental well-being. People can find themselves putting on weight and losing their fitness. If you need to use pain and anti-inflammatory medications for everyday life, you're probably in at least one of the above-mentioned groups of people. The happy hip clinic programme is designed to give people in this situation the helping hand to place them onto a completely new path.
What will a consultation look like?
Some patients will present with imaging like x-rays showing that OA is present. When I first meet you, I will ask you how OA is affecting your life and what areas of your body you’re looking for help with. What will you love most about getting that part of your body better? In the first two sessions, I will assess if I can help you get to that better place. This unique programme is something like a home renovation. You'll know if the renovation programme I have designed for you is going to help you by what takes place in your body during or after the very specific interventions we use. If the intervention improves something specific in the problem area, you'll feel it, and we can confidently get to work on the renovation. That's it, two sessions to assess if this uniquely tailored OA programme is going to get you to your better place. If this sounds good to you, I look forward to seeing you in my clinic.
